Food Bank Scheme

The Food Bank Scheme is a project helping people and families during times of short term crisis.  The project is overseen by charitable organisation the Trussell Trust, who set up food banks manned by volunteers to collect tinned and dried food from the public at supermarkets.  They also work to organise collections at schools, churches, community groups and local businesses.

The Food Bank Scheme is based at Festival Church, Ebbw Vale, where the volunteers sort the food into parcels and then store and prepare the parcels for distribution.  For more information please visit their website - www.festivalchurch.co.uk/foodbank
