Cycle Paths
Route: Severn Bridge to Swansea (Chepstow - Newport - Pontypridd - Port Talbot).
Distance: 84 miles. Map shows 214 miles of route, of which 130 are traffic-free.
The Celtic Trail covers 377 miles (in its entirety) of the most diverse scenery in Wales, taking you from the eastern 'Gateway to Wales' at the Severn Bridge, Chepstow, to Pembrokshire Coast National Park in the West.
Your journey along the Celtic Trail is largely traffic-free and offers the opportunity to experience the diversity of the Welsh culture, history and natural beauty. Travelling through the green valleys, once a famous industrial heartland, the Trail takes you along canal tow paths, disused railways, quiet country lanes, into forests, over mountains and through vales to Swansea, the city by the sea. There are many sites of historical and industrial importance along the route. This section also features the Taff Trail, linking Cardiff to the Brecon Beacons
