This section is all about birth (before and after), parenting, school life, staying healthy and risk behaviours (like smoking and alcohol).  It helps concentrate on safety at home, eating well, coping with stress, staying active, and other important topics that you should know about.

Fit for Work

We know that work is important to keeping you fit and healthy.  In this section, we look at employability, workplace health (including health and safety) and economic development.  We provide information on basic skills and how to top yours up, and gaining experience through voluntary programmes.  Take a look for more information.

Supported Communities

Staying safe, moving around safely and knowing about your past can contribute to your health. In this section we look at transport, PACT, PCSOs, and the history and heritage of Blaenau Gwent.

The Services You Need

Seeing a doctor or a dentist is important for your health, just like staying sexually safe and quit smoking.  This section looks at these things, providing an directory of your local dentists, doctors, hospitals, pharmacies and opticians.  It also looks at health visitors and social services.

Getting Older

It's something some people struggle with.  It involves change in the body which can be quite disadvantageous to us. This section helps you age healthily, keeping well in the winter and managing pain. It also looks at carers and the support they are entitled to.

This looks at our environment.  There's not always a need to buy gym equipment or go to a gym when you have scenery around you which allows you to do exciting activities and stay fit at the same time.  We look at gardening, parks, towns, leisure centres, theatres, cinema and methods to keep you healthy like cycling and walking.
