Blaenau Gwent in Bloom
The competition runs with a wide range of regular and new gardening enthusiasts taking part each year. The competition is organised by Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council’s Regeneration Division with support from partners such as local Communities First Partnership Boards.
Cllr Royston Welch, Executive Member for Sustainable Communities, said: “The competition is all about improving the quality of life for those who live and work within the County Borough and recognising the efforts of individuals, community groups, businesses and other organisations who are making a valuable contribution to improving the local environment by enhancing gardens, allotments and areas of open-space. By doing our ‘little bit’, we can all help make a major difference!”
The competition organisers are keen to encourage more gardening enthusiasts to enter.
Entry forms can be obtained from Blaenau Gwent’s Civic Centre, any local Leisure Centre, Library and Communities First Office or by calling (01495) 355539.
