Health Visitors are part of the NHS Community Health Services. A Health Visitor is attached to each GP practice. Every pre-school child has a named health visitor. Health Visitors are able to offer help and advice on a broad range of issues relating to childcare and development.
Social Services in Blaenau Gwent support those people who need Social Care, including those in need of protection, to develop their abilities to live as independent and fulfilled lives as possible
The Sure Start Health Team provide support to families with children aged 0-3 years, aiming to enhance the physical, social, emotional and intellectual wellbeing of children using a multi agency approach.
